    The topic is a variety of scenarios involving a new Iran-Iraq war which could expand to include the surrounding states, the US, France and the UK. Two other scenarios focus on Iraqi aggression against Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and a UN Coalition attack to save the Kurds and Marsh Arabs. Scenario options allow for Israeli entry, chemical and nuclear war, and much more.18 pages of rules 34' x 22' map (17 miles/hex) two days/turn 352 playing pieces representing Brigades and Divisions.There have been three versions of the game to date, each one reflecting updates to available forces and possibilities. The original (1993) edition was published by XTR, designed by Dorlon J. Elliott and developed by Ty Bomba and Chris Perello. The second (1999) edition was designed by Ty Bomba and also published by XTR, in Command magazine #50, together with The Tigers are Burning. Back to Iraq 3 appeared 2002 in Decision Games' Strategy & Tactics magazine #208. Joseph Miranda joined the design team.
